balloons fashioned into an arch add a festive note to the fun-filled, family
festival called Oktoberfest. |

Fine Crafts on Union Square Commons
Fine craftspeople bring their
handmade crafts to beautiful Union Square Commons where they set up their tents
on grass or brick pavers among towering oak trees, evergreen shrubs and
blooming flowers. You will find beautiful pottery, jewelry, glass, fabrics and
objects made from wood that will appeal to you. |

Acoustic Music at the Klingspor PavilionIn the very center of the Fine
Crafts Area, Lisa Lynne Franco and George Futinelli bring their unusual and
lovely music to all the lovers of fine crafts and fine music. |

Becks Beer Garden
The Hickory Jaycees
dispense cold beer in the sunken beer garden located right beside the food

Appropriately dressed, a member of the Oompah
band takes a break from performing authentic German music for Oktoberfest.

KidFest
Kidsfest Area: "Drumming with Rick Cline" African Drum circle for kids of all ages, and special performance by Gahu African Drumming and Dance. No experience is required and drums will be provided. Kids will join the circle in 30 member groups for approximately 15 to 20 minutes per group, for a crash coarse in drumming and improvising. |
